Volunteer with NFSC

Volunteers make a huge difference in the quality of life in our community.

Volunteers of any age are welcome!

  • Join forces with the community to help the community.
  • Stay physically, mentally, and socially active.
  • Make a real difference in the quality of life of neighbors along with enhancing a sense of well being.
  • Enjoy the opportunity to learn from the rich, varied experiences of elders in the community.
  • “Pay it forward” as you help build a community that will support all of us as we age.
  • Explore social & educational opportunities for all family members.
  • See also the "Neighborly Rides" section.

Some of our most active volunteers are also members!

Service Saturdays

Twice yearly, in the spring and in the fall, North Fork Senior Connections volunteers along with service groups in the community team up to help seniors with seasonal chores including:

  • installing or decommissioning swamp coolers.
  • cleaning gutters, raking leaves, and washing windows.
  • winterizing sprinkler systems.
  • stacking firewood.

It’s a great way to connect with your community, and you do not have to be a member to join in the effort. Call or contact us now, to request service or to volunteer to help out on our Days of Service in Paonia, Hotchkiss or Crawford.
