The results paint a wonderful – if incomplete – portrait of the unique character of the valley and its inhabitants from the mid-twentieth century on. NFSC Program Manager Linda McCone arranged for and conducted some of these interviews. Local videographer David Jacobson also conducted interviews for the project, which became the basis for an evening performance of five of these accounts in a program called Story Share 2021 at an event sponsored by the Blue Sage in late June of that year. North Fork Senior Connections received a grant to extend our interview program by creating an opportunity for local high school students to meet and converse with older North Fork residents and to have those interviews recorded and stored on the internet.
