Claire Dauwe, the Bereavement Coordinator for Hopewest of Delta County, facilitates a new Mending Hearts Grief Support group Monday afternoons, April 7 – May 5, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Paonia Senior Center, 106 3rd Street, Paonia. Mending Hearts is free of charge and open to anyone coping with the death of a loved one. Pre-registration is required.
Each week there will be discussion on a grief topic that includes:
- Grief Education
- Coping Skills for Your Grief Journey
- Self-Care
- Building Social Support
Each person’s grief is unique, and those coping with the death of a loved one share a common bond. You do not have to go through it alone.
