August Book Club

We’re excited to gather with you on Tuesday August 20 at 2:00 to talk about our WOMEN’S HISTORY reads.

Laura Lee has ordered Kamala Harris’s memoir on Amazon and will be happy to loan it after we meet, and a lovely new member Mary Smith from Hotchkiss brought in a great selection of interesting and fun books on this topic, so we will be making a display.

We will also be showing a fascinating short film about Women’s Suffrage in the US and hearing from our Board Vice-Chair Bonnie Eisenberg who was active in the Movement in its earlier days.

Looking for a cool place to hang out? We’ll have the swamp cooler cranked up! Men welcome, too!
