Week two of the sizzling summer concert series at Paonia Library’s Amphitheater features Ellen Stapenhorst and Paul Frazier.

Ellen and Paul create a wonderful entertaining duo with their vast backgrounds in music.

Paul Frazier’s professional musical career spans more than six decades, sharing stages (and living rooms) with a variety of artists including Jerry Jeff Walker, David Bromberg, Earl Scruggs, John Sebastian and Bobby and Bruce Hornsby.

Since moving to the North Fork valley in 2003, he continues as an original member of the Metamoocil Mountain Boys, the Solar Brothers and the Lugnuts Band. He also performs solo and with local friends and neighbors, including Ellen Stapenhorst, David Starr, Kane Hollins and daughter Chelsea Bookout.

Singer/songwriter Ellen Stapenhorst has been traveling the world with her music for nearly six decades, from castles on the Rhine to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, around the US and back to her Western Colorado home. Along the way she’s shared the stage with such folk as John Denver, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and groups including the North Fork Community Chorus and the Aspen Choral Society have performed arrangements of her songs.

Ellen brings a joyful, authentic warmth and humor to performing as she continues her mission of spreading optimism and hope in these challenging times. She is happy to be back at the Paonia Library with her musical buddy Paul Frazier.
